Biography
Sumant Sinha is the Founder Chairman and CEO of ReNew Power, one of India’s largest clean energy companies. ReNew Power was founded in the year 2011 with the purpose of establishing a robust and sustainable presence as an Independent Power Producer (IPP) across the clean energy space of wind and solar energy. ReNew Power has raised funding from Goldman Sachs, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Asian Development Bank, and Global Environment Fund. Under Sumant’s leadership, ReNew Power has grown organically and has more than 1,600 MW of commissioned and under-construction clean energy assets. Additionally, it has a development pipeline of more than 1GW solar, wind and solar rooftop projects.
