Stan Meresman

Biography

Stan Meresman is a professional, independent director of high-growth technology companies. Currently, Stan is a director of LinkedIn (LNKD), Palo Alto Networks (PANW), Zynga (ZNGA), and several private companies. Previous boards where Stan served include: Riverbed Technology (RVBD), Polycom (PLCM), Meru Networks (MERU) and VMware (as a private company). On several occasions, Stan began his board service at a company with revenue under $5 million and continued through a period of growth exceeding $600 million (Polycom and Riverbed Technology). On four occasions, as chair of the audit committee, Stan helped guide the company through the IPO process, and towards reporting as a public company: LinkedIn (LNKD), Zynga (ZNGA), Riverbed Technology (RVBD), and Polycom (PLCM). Stan was General Partner and COO of Technology Crossover Ventures (TCV), a private equity and venture capital firm focused on growth technology companies. Earlier in his career, he was Senior Vice President and CFO of Silicon Graphics, Inc. (SGI NYSE-listed), where he helped grow revenue from $250 million to $3.8 billion. Before this, Stan was VP, Finance and Administration and CFO of Cypress Semiconductor (CY-NYSE), where he helped grow revenue from $2 million to over $100 million when the company successfully completed its IPO. Stan received his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley. He has attended Stanford Law School Directors’ College corporate governance program and was also elected to serve as President of the Board of the Financial Executives Institute (FEI), Silicon Valley Chapter. In December 2013, Stan was a panel speaker at the NYSE IPO Board Forum “Building Boards.”
