Biography
Prof. Pallu Reddanna holds a Ph.D degree and is a reputed teaching scientist leading a research group in the field of Biotechnology. He is the Coordinator, Centre for Biotechnology, School of Life Sciences, University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad, India. He worked as a Lecturer at S V University, Tirupati before joining as Reader at the university of Hyderabad and became full Professor in 1998. He has several Research projects supported by Govt. of India ( Dept. of Biotechnology, CSIR and DST) and Industries (NATCO Pharma, Laila Impex, Onconova – USA and AOARD – Japan). Prof. Reddanna published over 150 original research papers in both National and International journals, filed three patents for three inventions, and guided 30 students for Ph.D and 100 students for M.Sc. projects. He is a member of several professional Societies and Advisory Committees, and organized many national and international symposia. Prof. Reddanna is the recipient of Royan International Foundation, Chemtech Foundation and Rockefeller Foundation Biotechnology Career Awards.
