Biography
Prof. (Dr. ) Kapil Lawrence did his M.Sc., (1986) M.Phil. (1989) and Ph.D. (1996) from Lucknow University in Biochemistry. He has also qualified National Entrance Test (NET) (CSIR-UGC) in 1989 for award of JRF. After a brief teaching stint as part-time lecturer at Isabella Thoburn College, Lucknow from September 1995 till March 1996. He joined Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology & Sciences Deemed University then known as Allahabad Agricultural Institute, Allahabad in 1996 as Assistant Professor. Currently, he is Professor & Head, Dept. of Molecular & Cellular Engineering. He also served as Head, Dept. of Biochemistry & Biochemical Engineering from July 2009 till July 2012. From 2006-2008 he was on deputation as Associate Professor at Dental College, Zleiten, Al Mergeb University, Al Khums, Libya teaching Biochemistry to first year students of Dental College.
