Biography
Dr. Prashant A. Jain is working as Assistant Professor and In charge in the Department of Computational Biology & Bioinformatics, Jacob School of Bioengineering & Biotechnology w.e.f. April 2005. He has completed 11 years and 06 months of service in the university. Dr. Jain graduated in Agriculture (B.Sc.Ag.) form Allahabad Agricultural Institute, Allahabad. He pursued Master of Science in Biotechnology in 2003, Master of Technology in Information Technology (Specialization in Bioinformatics) from Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Allahabad. He has completed his Master of Philosophy in Biotechnology in 2008 from CDLU, Sirsa and Doctor of Philosophy in Bioinformatics from SHIATS in 2014.
Research Interest
Dr. Prashant A. Jain is working as Assistant Professor and In charge in the Department of Computational Biology & Bioinformatics, Jacob School of Bioengineering & Biotechnology.He has completed 11 years and 06 months of service in the university.He is having 28 research publications in National and International Journals. He has Supervised/guided more than 50 undergraduate & 20 post graduate dissertations. His main areas of research are Genome/Proteome analysis, Evolutionary Systematics, Metabolomics, Agro informatics, Microbial / Medical Bioinformatics and Computational Biotechnology.
