Biography
Er. Ashhad Imam completed his bachelors in Civil Engineering from Jamia Millia Islamia, India in the year 2009. During his Bachelors, he gained a comprehensive exposure to the core areas of Civil Engineering as well as a strong conceptual understanding. He possess a sound knowledge of STAAD PRO, ANSYS, FORTRAN etc. which is an added advantage for successfully implementing operations using exact computerized designs. He has been selected for an international visit to GERMANY for pursuing some academic projects where he attended 5 days laboratory module on “DIAGNOSTICS OF BUILDING” and worked on many new equipments which also provided him an envisioned scope of learning to carry out wider research endeavor. He completed his Master’s Program in the department of Civil Engineering (Structures) from KFUPM in the year 2012. He is capable of dealing with different Machine Learning techniques like Artificial Neural Network, Non linear Regression Analysis to solve various regression and classification problems by using MATLAB and also worked on Monte Carlo Simulations to carry out some probabilistic analysis. His research interest and experience background is on Corrosion of Steel in Concrete Structures (Diagnosis, Service Life Prediction and Protection), Utilization of Industrial Solid Wastes as Structural Materials, Non-destructive testing of concrete, Concrete durability and concrete repair and Characterization of Structural Materials etc. He also possess a wide academic experiences and worked with different organizations like Galgotias Educational Institutions and BITS Pilani. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at SHIATS, Allahabad.
