Biography
Dr. Mishra graduated in 1978 from Berhampur University, Orissa. Residency in General Surgery (1981~1987) at Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh. After a brief period of faculty assignment in General Surgery at PGIMER, Chandigarh (1987-1989) moved to Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow in 1989, to set up a new department of Endocrine Surgery. Since then he is continuing as the head of the department in various faculty positions and supervising clinical, teaching, training and research programme. He has keen interest in teaching and training. The first structured training programme in Endocrine Surgery in the form of one year Post Doctoral Certificate Course (PDCC) leading to three years M.Ch. Degree was introduced in SGPGIMS, Lucknow. He is currently involved in research and development in designing e-infrastructure for creating virtual environment for Collaborative Learning in health science in the Country and neighboring region in South Asia and developing world at large with particular interest in creating Endocrine Surgery expertise among interested General Surgeons having passion for this specialty.
