Aparna Thomas

Biography

Aparna Thomas has been made Senior Director – Communications & Public Affairs for sanofi-aventis India in April 2011. She joined the company in June 2008 as Director – Communications. She is also responsible for the Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility program. Prior to joining sanofi-aventis, Aparna headed the Communications function at Pfizer (India) Limited. She has garnered a lot of experience in marketing communications and strategic partnerships in different sectors such as healthcare, technology, FMCG, tourism, etc. from her tenure in a leading Public Relations consultancy, where she started her career in 1999. Her work to create awareness about WHO’s formulation of Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS) has won the international Sabre Award for product placement in a television series in 2003. Aparna has Masters degrees each in English Literature and Mass Communication from the Maharaja Sayajirao University, Vadodara, Gujarat.
