Biography
Yasmin Cama joined the Legal Department of the erstwhile Hoechst India Limited in September 1985. Since 1990, she has been heading the Legal function and is responsible for all corporate legal matters. Yasmin’s work encompasses legal documentation, litigation and supporting operations across several divisions (Pharma, Vaccines, CHC, IA, CSU, R&D, Genzyme). She has worked closely with Group/Region lawyers in M&A transactions and major arbitrations. Yasmin, who has immense experience in the legal field, was designated as Senior Director- Legal Affairs from March 2007. As the country lawyer under the Group’s Intercontinental Legal Operations, she handles the legal work of all Sanofi entities in India, Sri Lanka, & Bangladesh. She started her career with the leading law firm, Crawford Bayley, where she specialized in company law, mergers, equity issues, joint ventures and foreign collaborations. Yasmin is a graduate in Arts (majoring in English Literature & French) and holds a Master’s degree in Law from Mumbai University.
