Raman Govindarajan

Biography

I am a physician scientist with experience in multiple specialties (given below). After my post doctoral research at Cornell University Medical College, I started research in industry focusing all along on understanding and modifying behaviour of cells in several systems and diseases. This journey has led me to interact with several non biological specialists whom I have harnessed to understand the problem I was studying. Currently my interests are understanding mechanisms of resistance and events that trigger metastasis in cancer and the role of inflammation in diabetes. At Sanofi, I was responsible for identifying opportunities for collaboration and partnership in all areas that Sanofi is operating in. I have recently left Sanofi and am now a Consultant to the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical industry - beginning with bench science and up to clinical trials and beyond.
