Biography
He is currently working as Director, IQAC at Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University. He co-ordinates the forth coming NNAC activities of the University. Established the detailed flow stratigraphy, geochemistry and palaeomagnetism of 1650m thick basaltic lava pile in the WesternDeccanBasaltProvince and Malwa Traps for the first time using extensive field mapping of 4000sq.km.physiographic signatures, geochemical analysis of major, trace and rare earth elements for 1000samples and palaeomagnetic analysis for 2000specimens along with computer aided statistical techniques. Recently established research collaboration with Oil and Natural Gas Commission (ONGC Ltd.) Krishna Godavari Basin, Rajahmundry Asset and submitted research project entitled “ Stratigraphy, geochemical and geochronological studies of the Deccan Basalts in K-G Basin and to correlate with the Western Deccan Basalt Province” to ONGC with an out lay of Rs.30 Lacs. Awarded First Rank with Distinction and Gold Medal in M.Sc., Geology from Andhra University, Waltair (A.P.). Successfully guided 14 PhDs. 5 M.Phil. 10 M.Sc (Tech) Mineral Exploration students and 150 M.Sc. dissertation and presently guiding 8 Ph.Ds.in Geology and Environmental Sciences
