Biography
Prof. F. C. Garg, Ph. D. in Microbiology from CCS, Haryana Agricultural University, possesses 43 years of teaching and research and administrative experience. He started his career in 1974 from CSK Himachal Pradesh Agricultural University Palampur (H. P.) as Assistant Professor. Later in 1978, he joined CCS Haryana agricultural University, Hisar as Incharge, Culture Production Unit of Department of Microbiology. Under his stewardship, the Department of Microbiology was awarded for country’s best culture production unit by Productivity Council of India. Based on his experience in culture production, Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India selected him as Regional Director in the prestigious project on “Development and Production of Biofertilisers”. As a part of the project, he was instrumental in establishing Regional Biofertilizer Development Centre at Hisar for the promotion of Biofertilisers in Northern India. He has published two book chapters and has more than 60 research papers to his credit in journals of National and International repute. He has also written one book entitled “Experimental Microbiology”. He has guided and is guiding Ph.D. & M.Sc. students for their Thesis and Dissertation work respectively. Dr Garg completed two R& D projects one each from ICAR and Ministry of Agriculture. He has interest in biological nitrogen fixation and food fermentations.
