G R S Bisht

Biography

Prof. Bisht has 24 years Research and Industrial experience in antibiotic fermentation at IDPL, Rishikesh and 18 years teaching experience at SBSPGI. He did his Ph.D. on some actinomycetes producing rifamycin B antibiotic, a substrate for anti-tubercular and anti-leprosy drug Rifampicin. He has 35 publications (11 International and 24 in National Journals). He has guided and is guiding Ph.D. & M.Sc. students for their Thesis and Dissertation work respectively. Presently he is also a Co-PI in a R & D project sanctioned by ICMR to Jalma Institute of Leprosy and other Mycobacterial Diseases Agra, U.P.. He is also peer reviewer of 10 International and 2 National Journals. He has completed two research projects in his career.
