Biography
Started career as a research scholar at CLRI. Completed Ph.D in Biophysics at CLRI from Madras University in 2001.Experience in isolating proteins from tissue and the purification of the same. Characterization of the isolated proteins using various techniques like tlc, UV-vis, NMR spectroscopy, SDS PAGE, etc.. Experience in synthesizing small peptides, their characterization and analyzing their aggregational behaviour in aqueous and non aqueous media. Joined Sathyabama University AS Senior Lecturer on 3rd January, 2007. Presently leading the department of Bioinformatics at Sathyabama University. At present working on the simulation of small molecules (peptides) and predicting their ability as nano carriers of drugs. Also working on the isolation of compounds from medicinal plants and predicting their biological activity using insilico methods.
