Biography

Dr. Laxmi Reddy, PhD, DABCC is a promoter, director & Chief Scientific Officer of SBM Pvt. Ltd. He is also the Director, Molecular Diagnostic Laboratories, University of Chicago, Medical Center, Chicago, USA. He is internationally recognized expert in the field of Molecular Diagnostics, with more than 25 years of experience in the diagnostic laboratory business, specializing in clinical and molecular diagnostic laboratories. He received his Ph.D. in Clinical Neurochemistry from NIMHANS, Bangalore, India, 1990, and had professional experience in the University of Chicago Medical Center, Technical Director, 2004-present, Chicago, IL. Molecular Diagnostics lab, Rush Cancer Institute, Chicago, IL. In addition Dr. Reddy is Board Certified in Molecular Diagnostics by American Association of Clinical Chemistry. His novel research include: Detection of the reverse transcriptase activity (retroviruses) in bone marrow culture supernatants of Myelodysplastic Syndromes (Patented), Development of molecular diagnostic assays for detection of mutations in alpha and beta globin genes (Patented). He has authored over 40 scientific publications and presented in over 100 international scientific meetings.
