Biography
My area of research is structural and functional studies of target proteins in order to understand their biological functions and subsequent functional implication. I am particularly interested in purification, characterization, crystallization and structural studies of proteins through X-ray crystallography in combination with wide range of biophysical techniques to investigate the structural and functional relationship of targeted proteins. I am also interested in the structural and function studies of mammalian heme peroxidases and their role in breast carcinogenesis and hyperthyroidism. I am also interested in characterizing and determining the structures of potential therapeutic and antimicrobial proteins from various natural sources.
