Biography
Mr. Sankhanath Bandyopadhyay has obtained Master of Arts (M.A.) in Economics from J.N.U. and working since almost last 10 years on contemporary economic policy issues, government & public finance, macroeconomic research, project finance etc. Some of his responsibilities are to undertake projects of various international and national stakeholders, and developing policy papers in the domain of public finance issues for broader policy impact and stakeholders discussion. He worked on some projects like- ‘Conduct of market Study in respect of coir and coir products in Europe’ - funded by the coir board of India undertaken by the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. He has also work experience with Export Credit Agency (ECA)-JBIC where his work profile comprises of various project monitoring with top rated PSUs & other clients, risk assessments of events and developments, working with Ministries of Government of India and various companies & industry bodies regarding projects & Indian economic policy aspects. He is interested in aspects pertaining to the Indian economy, how external developments are impacting the economy, policy feasibility and debates related to that.
