Biography

 Prof. V P S Arora, an alumnus of G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pant Nagar, is a Teacher, Scientist, Consultant and Academic Administrator of repute. Besides being Distinguished Professor (Management) of Sharda University he is also Mentor, Centre for Education Growth and Research, Director Nainital Bank Limited and Director, Jasmine Mega Structures Private Limited. Formerly he was Pro-Chancellor and Vice Chancellor of Shri Venkateshwara University Uttar Pradesh and Pro-Chancellor of Venkateshwara Open University, Itanagar, He has been President of Centre for Education Growth and Research and Vice Chancellor designate of Supertech University Uttarakhand and Vice Chancellor of Kumaun University, Nainital (State University). Dr. Arora has been with Udaipur University, Udaipur (Assistant Professor); G B Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor, Head of Department, and Dean of Management Faculty; Alemaya University, Ethiopia (World Bank Professor); and Amity University Uttar Pradesh (Dean Academics). He had been Founding Dean of College of Agribusiness Management at Pant Nagar. Professor Arora has been Consultant to Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO), Organization of Economic and Development Cooperation (OECD), International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), and Asian Productivity Organization (APO). Prof Arora has honour of addressing UN University, Tokyo on Agricultural Policies in South Asia, and OECD Member Countries on India’s Agricultural Policies (at OECD, Paris). Dr. Arora has completed 13 sponsored Research Projects, 07 Consulting Projects including 05 International; authored 02 Books, edited 07 Books/ Conference Proceedings (including One International), reviewed one Book, authored 21 Chapters in different Books, and contributed 87 research/ technical papers in journals of repute. He has successfully Guided 15 Ph D dissertations. 27 Masters’ theses, and 35 M B A final projects; Most recently, as Chief Editor, Dr Arora contributed to two publications of CEGR Text Book entitled Higher Education: Leadership and Management and Research Methodology for Faculty. Professor Arora has been honoured with numerous awards and recognitions including Dr Rajendra Prasad Award, Life Time Achievement Award, Uttarakhand Ratan Award, Higher Education Leadership Award 2016, Conference President of Indian Society of Agricultural Marketing, and Conference President of Agricultural Economics Research Association.
