Biography
As Assistant Scientist HAU,Hisar, investigated virulence factors of Enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli of calf origin, their serotype distribution, plasmid profile, and enterotoxin characterization. We extensively surveyed the presence of various pili in ETEC and demonstrated for the first time that F-17 pili bearing E. coli also produce suckling mouse positive ST toxin. We successfully demonstrated simultaneous conjugative transfer of both K99 antigen and Streptomycin resistance to E.coli K12
