EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS MSc, Jamia Millia Islamia New Delhi (November 27' 1992) PhD, AIIMS New Delhi ( May 28' 1999) MEMBERSHIPS / FELLOWSHIPS Life Member of Indian Immunology Society. Fellowship from University Grants Commission as SRF & JRF Graduate Aptitude for test in Engineering Sciences (GATE)(fellow with a percentile score of 94.86) ONGOING RESEARCH PROJECTS Assessment of immunogenetic alterations in patients with Mycolacterium tuberclosis - PI in the ICMR funded Project. Genetic and epigenetic alterations in the pathogenesis of pancreatic carcinoma in Kashmiri population - Co-I in DST funded project. Analysis of the role of genetic polymorphism in the assessment of response to chemotherapy drugs in patients with Gastric AdenoCarcinoma - PI in ICMR funded project. OTHER INFORMATION ACADEMIC : So far 6 MD/DM?MS and 1 PhD students have received their degrees under my co-supervision besides presently 8 MD/MS/DM/MCH students persuing their degrees under my co-guideship. PATIENT CARE : In-charge of Molecular Diagnostics based detection of Mycobacterium tuberclosis, Dystrophin gene profile for DMD/BMD, Screening for JAK2 V617F mutations and quantitative analysis of HBV and HCV viral load.
