Research Interest
Dedicated and experienced researcher with comprehensive knowledge of molecular biology, microbiology, molecular genetics, tissue culture, enzyme technology and proven expertise in Plant Biotechnology. Involved in the mutant generation of the plant mychorrizal fungi Rosellinia necatrix causing white root rot disease in apple plants of Himachal Pradesh, India. In addition have also generated biocontrol agents for this plant pathogenic fungi. Have investigated the role of nitrilase in biodegradation of cyanide compounds as enzyme technologist. Currently working on various aspects of plant tissue culture. In addition have 7 years teaching experience at undergraduate/postgraduate levels and 8 years research experience.
