Academic Qualifications MNAMS Cardiology ;1994 DM Cardiology;1991 MD internal Medicine;1988 MBBS; 1984 Professional Record Professor of Cardiology;SCTIMST Organized the cardiothoracic department at the Moulana Hospital, Perinthalmanna, Malapuram, in 2005, the first open heart surgical facility for the most backward distrit of Malapuram Kerala and installed the first digital cath lab in Kerala. The centre completed 100 open heart surgical procedures in it first year. Honors Commonwealth Scholarship for advanced training in Pediatric Cardiology at the Guy's Hospital London, 2001. NIH Fogarty Fellowship for faculty in mentoring in Pediatric Cardiology at the Rollin's School of Public Health, Emory University, Atlanta: 2010. Awards Best Paper Award for the paper of Right ventricular involvement in Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, at the Cardiological Society of India meeting in 1990. Best Poster Award for utility of Lateral view chest X-ray in clinical cardiology at the Association of Physicians of India, National Meeting, 1994.
