She earned Ph.D. in Chemistry (2007–2012) from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, Mumbai, India Thesis title Design of New Synthetic Strategies to Modified Amino Acids and Peptides. Dr Goyal worked as Assistant Professor Shoolini University. She was Visiting research fellow Department of Chemistry, Michigan Technological University, Michigan, USA
