Biography
ndrasekaran (Shekar) is a corporate advisor to the Manipal Education and Medical Group. He has been a mentor to start ups in the venture capital field and technology companies in the software arena. He is the founder Exec Chairman of the technology start up -- Impulsesoft Pvt Ltd, a provider of short range wireless solutions, which was acquired in 2005 by SiRF Technologies, a NASDAQ listed company. He has previously served as an Advisor and/or on the Board of several fast-growing companies in India including publicly listed companies 3i Infotech, Sasken, Aztec helping them with strategic inputs, governance, and organizational building. He was also previously an advisor to Chrys Capital and IDFC PE, two of the largest PE funds in India. He has been one of the prime movers of the PGSM programme for working I T professionals at IIMB and the Advanced Masters Programme in Management of Globally Distributed Work launched recently by the Globally Distributed Work Foundation. He was a member of the core group formed by the Government of Karnataka which conceptualized the setting up of the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore and has also been a guest faculty at IIM (B). He writes regularly on corporate matters.
