Biography
Appointed to the Board on July 27, 2012. He holds a Bachelor degree in Science from the Bangalore University and a master’s degree in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He also holds an honorary fellowship awarded by the Governing Council of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance. He is experienced in the field of commercial and development banking. He has been the Chairman and Managing Director of the National Housing Bank and the Central Bank of India. He was awarded the Lord Aldington Banking Research Fellowship for the year 1984 by the Indian Institute of Bankers.
