Biography
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Government Law College, Bombay (1961). He is a solicitor of the Incorporated Law Society, Mumbai. Mr. Talwar is enriched with experience across corporate law and other related matters. He has been the legal counsel to numerous Indian companies, multinational corporations as well as Indian and foreign banks. He served as partner at M/s. Crawford Bayley & Co and then founded Talwar Thakore & Associates, a law firm of repute.
Research Interest
He is also on the Board of several leading companies such as Merck Limited,Sandvik Asia,Johnson & Johnson Limited amongst others. He also served on the Biocon Board for a period if twelve years from 2003 till July 2015. He is a Chairman of Stakeholders Relationship Committee and a member of Audit & Risk Committee, Nomination & Remuneration Committee & Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of the Company.
