Biography
Sonika Gupta has done Doctorate from National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR), Delhi in Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology aiming to identify molecular signaling used by plants in response to environmental stress fundamentally. In particular, she has worked to unravel the secrets of secretome in plants in response to abiotic stress. Cellular cross-talk is mediated by a vivid population of secreted proteins in multi-cellular organisms including plants, and understanding their language may uncover various signaling networks. She could identify and further catalogued multiple proteins through proteomic analysis. She has experience in working with plant callus culture and its downstream application by differential biomolecules purification in response to extracellular cue. Her work has been published in the reputed journals of proteomics and presented at international and national conferences and symposia, demonstrating interest and significance to the research community.
