Biography
Palani brings more than 25 years of experience in product and project development, engineering, scientific research, and global business and technology management. Prior to joining Terumo BCT, Palani was the Vice President of Research and Development at Life Technologies, where he led the Cellular Analysis Division. He has also held leadership positions at GE Healthcare, Amersham Pharmacia Biotech and the University of Rochester. Palani has contributed to 25 scientific journals and publications throughout his career. He earned his bachelor's degree in agricultural sciences from Annamalai University in Tamil Nadu, India, and his doctorate degree in biological sciences from Northern Illinois University. His post-doctoral research was completed at the University of Rochester, and was focused on the mechanism of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) replication and reverse transcriptase-mediated drug resistance in HIV.
