Biography
Dr. Arindam Laha has been teaching Economics at the Department of Commerce, The University of Burdwan, West Bengal since last 6 years . Gold - medalist in Post - graduation from the University of Burdwan and State Funded Research Fellow, The University of Burdwan, Dr. Laha received Doctorate degree from the University of Burdwan. His areas of research interest include A grarian Institutions, Agricultural Finance, Agricultural Price Volatility, Financial Inclusion, Microfinance , Ent repreneurial finance, Human Development, and Social and Solidarity Economy . He has written three books and has published a number of research articles in internationally reputed journals of Social Science viz., Pakistan Development Review, Bangladesh Devel opment Studies , Sri Lanka Journal of Agricultural Economics, Finance India, Indian Journal of Agricultural Economics , as also in various edited volumes. He is now actively engaged in executing research projects of various funding agencies, UGC and ICSSR. H e has also co - authored chapter in India’s Rural Development Report (Govt. of India) and District Human Development Report (UNDP and Govt. of West Bengal). .
