Mr. Sumit Kumar Maji

Biography

Sumit Kumar Maji is Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce, The University of Burdwan, West Bengal, India. He did his M.Com ( Double Gold Medallist) in The University of Burdwan and obtained his B.Com ( Hons ) degree from the same university in the year 2007. He was awarded Tarunendra Bose Gold medal for his academic excellence in the year 2010. He had a scintillating start to his career, initially he was appointed as Assistant Professor in Assam University in the year 2011, followed by Sidho Kanho Birsha University, Purulia in 2012, West Bengal, and ultimately he joined his alma -mater The University of Burdwan in February, 2013. Mr. Maji is presently pursuing his Ph.D at the University of Burdwan. He is actively engaged in research and has published a number of research articles in various journals of national and international repute. He has also participated and presented research papers in different seminars and conferences in India. Very recently he has been awarded the South -South and Triangular Fellowship by ILO for attending the academy on Social and Solidarity Economy, 2017 to be held in Seoul, South Korea.
