Biography
Maniklal Adhikary joined this University in 1986. Previously , he served Taki Govt. College and North Bengal University for almost three years. Gold - medalist in the Post - graduation, he did his Doctorate degree from this University on measuring efficiency in the production of paddy in West Bengal through stochastic frontier analysis. Dr. Adhikary teaches economics advanced time series econometrics not only in t he department of Economics of this university but also in different universities of India as visiting fellow/professor. So far he has written about more than 110 papers and five books of which two are edited. Other than in several national journals, his co ntribution has got places in Environmental Values (UK) , South Asia Economic Journal , Social Science Research Network, International Journal of Management and Social Science Research Review, Asian Journal of Research in Social Sciences & Humanities, International Journal of Indian Culture and Business Management, International Journal of Economics and Business Research and also in various edited volumes. He has contributed a chapter on health and longevity in each of District Human Development Reports of Burdwan, Hooghly and Purulia, West Bengal.
