Biography
Dr. Arup Purkayastha obtained his Ph.D in chemistry at IIT, Guwahati. He initially worked as a post-doctoral researcher at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for 4 years. Later on he moved as a staff scientist at Laird Technologies, Associate Director at Applied Materials, Head of R&D at Ester Industries limited. Currently he is the managing director at Ultra Nanotech Pvt Ltd.

Nano science, nanotechnology, materials characterization and thermo-electrics, Chemical Mechanical Polishing, polymer composite/ Coating/ barrier, semiconducting, polymer and engineering plastics
