Biography
Karan Veer worked in Bio-Medical Instrumentation group at the CSIR-CSIO on joint project with Thapar University. My approach of Bio-Medical Engineering at CSIO covers the whole gamut of development of Prosthetic devices. University departmental topper during M.Tech course at Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra (2006 - 2008) Since January 2011, I have been engaged in Research & Development activities. My professional journey can be categorised as follows: a) Worked towards the development of Bio-Medical Instrumentation, my contribution was for the development of: Myoelectric Arm: Above Elbow - These are artificial electronic arms for upper limb amputees. These arms make use of electromyogram signal available from the residual stump of the amputee to open and close the hand.
