Biography
Dr Cinzia Benincasa has received her PhD in "Methodologies for the development of molecules of pharmacological interest" at University of Calabria (Italy) during the period of September 2001 – October 2004. Currently, she is working as researcher for the Council for Agricultural Research and Economic Agricultural Analysis (CREA) at the Research Center for the Olive Growing and the Olive Industry (CREA-OLI) in Rende (CS) (Italy). Her research has included: Olive Oil Quality, Food Safety, Traceability, Trace Elements, Waste Waters, Olive Oil By-Product, Chemiometrics. She is serving as an expert Reviewers for journals like Food Chemistry, Chimica Analytica Acta, Journal of Nutrition and Food Sciences, Journal of Agriculture and Food Chemistry. She has authored more than 50 research articles/books.
