Research Interest
My teaching and research focus on issues regarding the relation between science, religion and politics using a semiotic and epistemological method of analysis. I have attempted to develop a methodology for comparative philosophy that breaks away from typologies of East and West, tradition and modernity, orthodox and esoteric, and science and religion, focusing instead on the dialectics of these dualisms and on locating principles of motion in history and society. Specialization: Epistemology, Philosophy of Language, Comparative Philosophy of Religion
