Biography
Dr. Surya Pratap Singh has received his PhD in Biophotonics from Tata Memorial Center, Mumbai, India in the year 2014. His thesis work was related to development and evaluation a fiberoptic based Raman spectroscope for non invasive identification of oral cancers and pre-cancers. During post doctoral training at University of Eastern Finland, Kuopio he has worked on different analytical methods for biomedical applications such as disease identification or treatment response monitoring. Recently he started working at Laser Biomedical Research Centre, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA. He has authored more than 20 peer reviewed research articles and member of Royal society of chemistry and international society for optics and photonics. His major area of research includes Optical spectroscopy, Biophotonics, Raman and IR spectroscopy, Metabolomics, Biomedical engineering etc.
