Research Interest
Relativistic plasma microwave devices: High power microwave generation from relativistic electron beam interaction with slow-wave structure, Cherenkov radiation from IREB driven slow-wave structures. ï‚· Fast-wave devices ( FELs, gyrotrons) ï‚· Developed Marx generator giving 300 keV, 2 kA, 100ns electron beam generation. ï‚· Set up first BWO experiment in the country giving 5 MW, 8-11 GHz microwave output. ï‚· Theoretical studies of ultrashort, ultra-intense, laser-plasma interaction, highharmonic generation, attosecond pulse generation, wake-field acceleration of charged particles, self-focusing of laser beams. ï‚· Free electron lasers ï‚· Theoretical investigation of laser induced sound generation, under-water acoustics.
