Research Interest
Nicholas Walton is an ecologist with a special interest in the intersection between field ornithology and technology. He has worked mostly in forest and coastal wetland systems in the western Great Lakes region. Nicholas is currently working on the following projects: Minnesota Breeding Bird Atlas, experimental impact of emerald ash borer on the fauna of black ash forests, and the effect of leave tree patch size/distribution on recolonization of forest cuts.
