Biography

Dr. K. Ramachandra Kini completed his Ph.D. in Biotechnology, working has an Associate Professor in University of Mysore. He awarded with Junior/ Senior Research Fellowship Award from the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Government of India for carrying out research work (1994-1998). o Young Scientist Award in the Botany Section of the 86th Indian Science Congress held at Anna University, Chennai, India during Jan 3-7, 1999. o Best Paper presentation award at the XX All India Botanical Conference held at University of Mysore during 28-31 December 1997. o Guest Scientist Fellowship from DANIDA, Denmark to carry out research in molecular aspects in mycology at the Danish Government Institute of Seed Pathology for Developing Countries (DGISP), Copenhagen, Denmark, for one year during June 2000 to May 2001. o BOYSCAST Fellowship sponsored by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India for six months during April 2007 to September 2007, at Swammerdam Institute of Life Sciences, University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. His research interest are Plant Molecular Biology, Molecular Plant Pathogen Interactions, Resistance genes in plants, Molecular Markers for Plant pathogens, Genetic profiling of medicinal plants and their endophytes
