Dr.G.R.Janardhanacompleted his Ph.D. in Botony, working has an Associate Professor in University of Mysore. He awarded Awarded Dr. Paul Neergaard Gold Medal for obtaining FIRST RANK in M. Phil. in Seed Technology, 1994. · Awarded Prof. K. N. Narayan Gold Medal for obtaining FIRST RANK in M.Sc., Botany, 1992. · Awarded Junior Research Fellowship from Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, (CSIR) New Delhi, 1993. · Awarded the Keragodu Chaitanyaradhya Swamy Memorial Cash Prize for securing First Rank in M.Sc., Botany, 1992. 3 · Awarded the Prof. L. Narayana Rao and Jayalakshmamma Central College Botanical Society Silver Jubilee Commemoration Cash Prize for securing First Rank in M.Sc., Botany, 1992. · Awarded Dr. K. N. Narayan, M. Sc., Ph. D. Endowment Cash Prize for securing First Rank in M.Sc., Botany, 1992. · Awarded Indian National Science Academy (INSA) Visiting Fellowship in January 2002 and visited Center for Plant Molecular Biology (CPMB) and National Center for Plant Genome Research, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU),School of Life Sciences, New Delhi 110 067. · Awarded Dr. Abdul Kalam Life Time Achievement Award by the Bharatiya Mahila Abivruddi Nigam, Bengalore on 17th June 2011 for his outstanding contributions in the field of Education. · Awarded the Matsumae International Fellowship (MIF) for the year 2012 by the Matsumae International Foundation, Tokyo, Japan and Visited Hirosaki University for a period of three months from 1st AUG 2012 to 31st OCT 2012 and worked plant disease causing Viroids.
