Biography
As a Research Assistant I did work in CU and Institute of Psychiatry, Government of West Bengal (3 years 4 months). As a Ph.D. scholar (UGC NET Junior Research Fellow) I did research work in CU (1 year 2 months). I have experience of teaching and research in North Bengal University (around 15 years) Conducted Field/research work on Eleven (11) ethnic communities and also many others, such as: Rabha (2003), Toto (2004), Chuniya (2005), Mech (2006), Drukpa (2007), Kharwar (2008), Garo (2009), Tamang (2011), Sherpa (2013), Toto (2014-2016), Rajbanshi, etc. communities; and Child Worker, Women, Stone Crusher, Migrant People.
Research Interest
Society, Culture and Civilization; Forest, Environment and Ecology; Tribal Communities, Dalits, Women and Children and other Weaker Sections; Rural Society; Health including Mental Health; Emerging Global Issues; Culture of Peace Studies etc.
