Biography
Besides a Masters Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from UPRTO University Allahabad, Dr. Ajay Kumar Singh wrote a doctoral thesis on Changing Form of Hindi Language in Media. Before joining Rajasthan University, he was an Associate Professor in MHP Institute of Journalism and Mass Communication, Allahabad and had also taught at the Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ), Ranchi and at Nehru Gram Bharati University, in Allahabad for nearly 08 years. Prior to joining academics, he had worked for various news organizations, including Doordarshan, for over ten years. He has authored four books on different aspects of Journalism and Mass Communication and published over two dozen research papers in reputed journals. He has also presented research papers in three International , twenty six national seminars , symposia and supervised more than hundred short films and documentaries.. He has been the speaker of various international , national conferences and member of the board of studies at many universities.His major research interests revolve around Television Reporting and Production, Photography Advertising and Public Relations, , and Media Research
