Biography
"Dr. Reshma Boolchandani has received her M.Sc., Ph.D. in Home Science. Currently, she is working as Associate Professor in the Department of Home Science, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. Her Area of Specialization is Foods and Nutrition. Her Research Project includes Monitoring & Supporting IMNCI (Integrated Management of Neonatal & Childhood Illnesses) & Child Survival Programme at Bundi District of Rajasthan 2010, with Dr. Nimali Singh and Dr. Shubha Dube; Tracking of Mothers & Newborns in Sawai Madhopur District. (Project Cocoordinator from June 2012- July, 2012).with Dr. Nimali Singh. She Received 2nd prize for 1. Paper (Poster) presentation: R Boolchandani and A Singh. Efficacy of cinnamon powder supplementation in different doses on glycemic profile of adult men with NIDDM, Presented at the 48th Annual National Conference of Indian Dietetic Association IDACON on ‘Nutrition in transition- A Global Challenge’, 19th to 21st November, 2015, organized by Indian Dietetic Association, Bangalore Chapter. 2. Received 2nd prize for Poster presentation entitled “Potential role of cinnamon in management of type 2 diabetes Mellitus –a review”, at 5th International conference on ‘Advances in food technology and Health Sciences’ organized by International Institute of Food and Nutritional Sciences (IIFANS), New Delhi, on October 15-16, 2014. 3. Certificate of Appreciation (1) for Paper (Poster) Presentation: Kamlesh Walia, Reshma Boolchandani, Archana Singh, Benny Antony. “Use of Amla as Antihyperglycemic Agent in Type 2 Diabetes mellitus”. Consolation prize in 46th Annual National Conference for poster presentation on “Impact of Cinnamon Powder Supplementation on Blood Glucose Profile in Men with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus” organised by IDA, Pune Chapter on 12-14 Dec, 2013. 5. Certificate of Appreciation for Paper (Oral) Presentation: Deepika Yadav, Bharti Jain and Reshma Boolchandani (2010). “Comparing action of Phytoestrogens on Peri and Postmenopausal Symptoms in women aged 40-50 years” at State Level Conference on Nutrition and Health, organised by IDA Jaipur Chapter and Department of Home Science, University of Rajasthan (25-26 Nov 2010). She is a Life Member of Old Student’s Association.
