Biography
A well known Radio and Television journalist, Ms Shalini Joshi has Masters Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from HNB Garhwal Central University and PG Diploma in Journalism from IIMC, Delhi . She has qualified UGC NET and had been a visiting faculty with the School of Communication in Doon University for nearly three years. She is a member of the Board of Studies, Mass Communication, Uttarakhand Technical University. Ms Joshi has been a media professional for nearly two decades and has worked for Zee News, Aajtak, BBC, CNEB and BBC World Service (London). She has travelled extensively in India and abroad to cover several significant issues like the Narmada Bachao Andolan, Tehri Dam Displacement, Fodder Scam, Smuggling in Porbander, Community conflicts and the UN Climate Change Conference in Bonn, Germany. She regularly writes articles and features for national dailies,magazines and online media.She has contributed chapters in three books and co-authored two books on Web Media. 12 of her research articles have been published in leading journals.She has conducted two workshops, attended several seminars/conferences and has delivered special lectures on media and women issues. She is presently pursuing Ph.D from Rajasthan University.
