Biography
"A senior journalist with a career spanning nearly three decades before joining as Professor. Starting with the Navbharat Times in Kota, he has worked with several news groups including Asian Age, BBC, Dainik Bhaskar, Deccan Chronicle and The Pioneer in his long journalistic journey. As a veteran journalist of Rajasthan, he has toured the desert region extensively in reporting on drought situations and covering issues like Indo- Pak border, migration and inflow of refugees from neighboring Pakistan. In addition, he has filed several special stories on social discrimination, empowerment of women and developmental stories from marginalized sections like Muslims and Dalits in the state. Prof Bareth also travelled on Gandhis famous Dandi March route from Sabarmati to Dandi in 2005 and filed stories on his legacy. Besides attending many Orientation Programmes, he has delivered lectures on media and journalism and participated in workshops at various places. "
