Biography
Prof. Sohan Lal Sharma has recieved his Ph.D. from M. L. Sukhadia University, Udaipur. During the period of 1993. Currently, he is working as Professor & Head, Department of Sociology & Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. His Area of specialization is Sociology of Stratification, Social Change and Development,Indian Social System. His Research Project includes 'Tribal Social Stratificatio n in an Urban Setting 1999, The Changing Patterns of Social Stratificatio n among the Scheduled Tribes of Rajasthan: A Comparative Study of Tribes of Udaipur and Sawai Madhopur District 1998 and Developing Patterns of Social Stratificatio n among the Minas of Sawai Madhopur District of Rajasthan 2005. He have Authored books like Ethnicity and Stratification among Tribals in Urban Setting 1996, Social Stratification among the Tribal’s 2004 and Emerging Tribal Identity 2008. He is a Life Member of Indian Sociological Society (LM-2271), Rajasthan Sociological Association (LM-57), Samaj Shastra Hindi Karya Samiti, Udaipur (Raj.) and Centre for the Research of Developing Weaker Sections (CRDWS), Udaipur.
