Biography
Dr. Sudhir Raniwala has received his Ph.D . Currently, he is working as Professor in the Department of Physics, University of Rajasthan. His area of specialization includes Exp. High. Eng. Phys. ( Experimental Search for QGP in heavy ion collisions. He had received Awards like Silver Medal from the University of Rajasthan for 2nd position in B.Sc, Gold Medal from the University of Rajasthan for 1st position in MSc, CSIR-JRF after a National Exam (1984), Best Thesis Presentation Award by the Indian Physics Association in the Nuclear Physics Symposium (1991), Visiting Scientist of Indian National Science Academy (INSA) (1995- 1996), Project Associate at CERN, Geneva, Switzerland (July 2000 – December 2000). Scientific Associate at CERN, Geneva, Switzerland (January 2001 – June 2001) and Senior Associate at International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Trieste, Italy (2006-2011). He is a Member of Thesis Committee of the ALICE experiment at CERN, Conference Committee, Physics Working Group in the STAR experiments to oversee all analysis related to correlations and fluctuations(2008-2009). 14th International Workshop on ACAT-2011, Uxbridge UK, 15th International Workshop on ACAT 2013, IHEP, Beijing, China. 16th International Workshop on ACAT 2014, Prague, Czech Republic. 7th International Conference on Physics and Astrophysics of Quark-Gluon Plasma (ICPAQGP), 2015, Kolkata, India. 17th International Workshop on ACAT 2016, Valpraiso, Chile. DAE HEP Symposium in 1994, 1996, 2010, 2012 and 5th ICPAQGP in 2005 and 6th ICPAQGP in 2010.
