Biography
Mr. Banerjee has been an ardent member of Rotary Club of Vapi since 1972 and was President during 1975-76. He was also the District Governor of the Rotary District 306 during 1980-81 and served the Rotary International as Director from Zone 5 and 6 in Asia during 1995-97. A Trustee of The Rotary Foundation from 2001-2005, he received the honor of being President of Rotary International inMr. Banerjee is a Chemical Engineer from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He has also had the good fortune of being educated in Vishwa Bharati, a school set up by the legendary Rabindranath Tagore. 2011-12, only the third Indian to hold the office.
