Biography
Dr. Prakash Karmakar is currently working as a Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany and Forestry, Vidyasagar University, India. His research interests includes Plant reproductive biology of medicinally important plants for in-situ conservation with special emphasis on pollination biology and plant-pollinator interactions, Palynology of Angiosperms,Gymnosperms and Pteridophytes, Palynological investigation of honey to understand bee-forage for sustainable apicultural practice in the rural areas of West Bengal. He has authored of many research articles/books related to Plant reproductive biology of medicinally important plants for in-situ conservation with special emphasis on pollination biology and plant-pollinator interactions, Palynology of Angiosperms,Gymnosperms and Pteridophytes, Palynological investigation of honey to understand bee-forage for sustainable apicultural practice in the rural areas of West Bengal.
