Dr. Vijaya Bhaskar Nori

Biography

 Dr. Vijaya Bhaskar did his MD in Radio-diagnosis (1991 from Andhra Medical College, Vizag). He has over 23 years of extensive experience working in prestigious institutes like CMC Vellore and NIMS Hyderabad. He received university gold medal in biochemistry, physiology, pharmacology, pathology, forensic medicine, preventive medicine & general medicine in MBBS and acquired top rank. He underwent several specialized training programs that include 1. Body CT including CT guided interventions & Multislice CT. 2. CT Coronary, Body Angiography & Applications of MDCT, 3. Neuro-imaging including myelography, head and spine CT & CT Cisternography. 4. Angiography including Cerebral, Thoracic, Abdominal, Spinal, peripheral, & Vascular interventions. 5. Interventions including Ultrasound & fluoroscopy guided procedures such as percutaneous nephrostomy , abscess drainage , Biopsies, Biliary drainage , etc., 6. Gastrointestinal Radiology including Barium studies & assistance to ERCP-Procedures. 7. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) including Neuro, Abdominal, Musculoskeletal, Pelvic, Pediatric imaging, Contrast enhanced angiography, and special procedures. (Spectroscopy, Diffusion, Perfusion, MRCP, MR Urography and Cardiac MRI etc, and 8. Diagnostic Ultrasound which includes Transrectal, trans-vaginal & Color Doppler duplex ultrasound. He also attended a training program in Advanced MR Angiography Applications at Seoul, South Korea. Has obtained fellowship in Cardiac CT imaging from Atlantic Medical Imaging, USA. Dr. Vijaya Bhaskar has been guide & co-guide for several post graduate dissertations. He has participated in various CME programs and symposia in gastrointestinal and cardiac radiology. He is also responsible for organizing & conducting various conferences and symposia in recent advances in radiology. Dr. Vijaya Bhaskar completed a research project on fetal biophysical profile scoring in high risk pregnancies and its effect on perinatal outcome. His ongoing research projects focus on Body MRI, CT vs MR prognostication of acute pancreatitis, and MR Shoulder & Knee vs Arthroscopy. He has presented various papers in several national and international conferences. Dr. Vijaya Bhaskar is also associated with many prestigious medical associations and societies. He was the Hon joint secretary, treasurer and Hon general secretary of Indian Radiological & Imaging Association - AP State branch. His special areas of interest include Cardiac Radiology, MR Angiography, MR Abdominal applications & MRCP, 3T MRI & advanced MR applications, computer applications in radiology. All daycare interventional procedures including guided biopsies, drainages and therapeutic procedures.
